During the last few years, the market for cannabis CBD and derivatives has grown exponentially thanks to the scientific confirmation of its therapeutic effects to the public, which has finally begun to inform itself without prejudice about this extraordinary plant with countless uses and benefits. The number of growers has increased considerably, in fact, according to Coldiretti estimates, there are actually more than 300 companies active in the production of hemp in Italy. Hemp can return to be a driving force for the Italian economy, as it once was until the 1940s when it was the second largest producer in the world by quantity and the first by quality. Cannabis can be used in many production sectors: from construction to food, packaging, textiles, cosmetics, super food and also as a green alternative to fossil fuels.
Hemp is a precious plant also for our health because it is rich in nutrients and vitamins. Hemp seeds, flour and oil are considered supplements: if taken consistently over time they help protect our body from countless ailments, such as high cholesterol. From its fibers we can produce paper, reducing the problem of deforestation around the world. Hemp fibers can be used as a fabric with excellent resistance and breathability properties, reducing the negative impact on the environment due to
the intensive cultivation of cotton. Hemp can be processed for the production of biodiesel and bioplastic, and biodegradable polymers for packaging, drastically reducing
CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. This plant also known as Cannabis or Marijuana, possesses extraordinary phytodepurative qualities. It takes care of our water, air and soil, has the ability to extract materials such as heavy and radioactive metals from polluted soils and produce large quantities of oxygen in a short time.
Is CBD safe?
When it comes to marijuana, cannabis light, legal weed or CBD hemp, we tend to mistakenly associate these products with soft drugs. The active ingredient responsible for the psychotropic effects is THC, which is practically absent in genetics authorized and certified by the European Union. Cannabis CBD is absolutely not harmful, in fact these genetics possess high levels of CBD. Our legal weed, in order to be sold, is recognized as such only after the checks carried out to verify the requirements by law.
